who we are
ACBS GA is a group of allied professionals committed to helping human beings thrive using contextual behavior science.
We believe in psychological approaches that consider the person in context, that help people thrive in service of their own values, and that use deeply grounded behavioral science.
We use approaches such as:
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
-
Relational Frame Theory (RFT)
-
Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP)
-
And other "third wave" mindfulness and acceptance-based models
Who belongs?
Anyone committed to this work.
We welcome counselors, social workers, graduate students, psychologists, psychiatrists, neuroscientists, occupational therapists, behavior analysts, primary care physicians, chaplains, behavioral health nurses, and more.
We accomplish more when we work across disciplines to reach the people we hope to serve.
We are also committed to creating spaces of inclusion across all forms of diversity, such as race, gender, sexuality, gender expression, and lived mental health experience.
